I'm Max Thilén, a Finnish-American entrepreneur and co-founder of Opascope, a boutique performance marketing agency. I started my first business at sixteen, later worked in finance managing billion-dollar derivatives portfolios, and eventually returned to entrepreneurship to start Opascope with my brother, Alex.
I'm Max Thilén. I grew up in the United States in a Finnish-American family and speak three languages. At sixteen, I started my first business, Max Wax Auto Detailing. As a kid I competed in cycling, and after high school I competed nationally on the Fort Lewis College cycling team.
My finance career began with an internship in investment banking, then transitioned into derivatives trading. As a senior trader, I managed portfolios exceeding $5 billion and built automated systems using Python.
Today, I co-lead Opascope, a marketing agency specializing in paid media, SEO, content strategy, and overall growth. One of our products, OpaVideo, streamlines high-quality video production for busy executives.
I live in Puerto Rico with my wife, Denise. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and exploring new projects.
